Lexile.com: Used by many educators, the Lexile framework is a rating scale for reading levels. Use this link to determine a book’s assigned Lexile or to find book suggestions.

Project Gutenberg: This site offers over 60,000 eBooks for free, many of which are older and no longer under copyright.

Scholastic Reading Counts: Reading Counts is another rating scale for book levels. Books that are assigned Reading Counts points have comprehension quizzes that students are often asked to complete.
